In the supreme abode, the source of all other abodes and existence, there is Bhagavan Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the cause of all causes and all that is. Surrounding Him is a pink lotus flower which represents the fact that Krsna’s planet is shaped just like a lotus flower with a thousand petals. Around Krsna’s planet are the Vaikuntha planets (Vaikuntha means without anxiety). These unlimited Vaikuntha planets are not only devoid of anxiety, but full of eternity, bliss and knowledge. The rays show a small insignificant corner of that spiritual realm, the great truth of material existence which are covered by clouds of illusion.
Within Krsna’s expansion is Mahavisnu. From His breathing comes innumerable universes. Just like perspiration comes from one’s skin, in the same way, with Him, from the pore holes of His body, emanate atomic particles of universes that develop into all the gigantic universes. When He breathes out, all the universes come out, and when He breathes in, they all enter His body. He is a part of a part (5 times removed) from Krsna.
